Terms of Service

What this service is
TriStateMovers is a referral service that connects people planning a move with moving companies. We are not a moving company, a broker of record, or a carrier. We do not transport goods, employ movers, or perform any part of your move.
Your agreement is with the mover, not with us
Any quote, estimate, contract, bill of lading or dispute is between you and the moving company you choose. We are not a party to it. We do not set prices, guarantee availability, supervise the work, or accept liability for loss, damage, delay or anything else arising from a move.
Verify credentials before you book
We do not audit the moving companies we pass requests to, and nothing on this site should be read as a certification, endorsement or guarantee that a given mover is licensed, insured or fit for your job. Before you hire anyone:
- Look the company up in the FMCSA SAFER database and confirm its USDOT registration is active
- Ask for a certificate of insurance and check it is current
- Get the estimate in writing and ask whether it is binding
Information on this site
Cost figures, timelines and city information on this site are estimates published for general guidance. Prices vary with distance, access, timing and the services you buy. Do not treat an estimate here as a quote; only a mover can quote your job.
How we make money
Moving companies pay us when we pass them a quote request or when a referral leads to work. Using this site costs you nothing, and you are never obliged to book with anyone who contacts you.
Acceptable use
Submit your own accurate contact details, and only for a move you are actually planning. Do not submit other people's information without their permission, scrape the site, or use it to send unsolicited marketing.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means the current version applies.
