TriStateMovers was founded in 2018 after our team experienced firsthand how difficult it is to find a trustworthy moving company in the New York metro area. After one too many stories of hidden fees, damaged furniture, and no-show movers, we decided to build a better way.
We are a referral service, not a moving company, and we want to be exact about what that means. We do not hold carrier credentials and we do not audit the movers we pass requests to. What we do is make the checks easy for you: every mover you speak to should give you its USDOT number and a certificate of insurance, and you can confirm the registration yourself, free, in the FMCSA SAFER database.
TriStateMovers covers New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, across 23 cities and the neighbourhoods inside them. Requesting quotes is free, and you are never obliged to book with anyone who contacts you.
